******** Project max duration: about a month or so I am in need of a social network to be created/modified for me. There are a couple of open source scripts out there but the one that I would need for my site, would need to be modified. I need a social website which behaves similar to Myspace, and facebook etc. I have taken a look at some scripts and currently it looks like PHPIzabi would be the best option. Please only bid if you have experience with PHPizabi, or if you are convinced you can create a similar operating website using a different platform. Communication is of the UTMOST Importance. Do not take offense please, but DO NOT bid if you are not fluent in ENGLISH. I have had SO MANY problems from communicating before and I do NOT want this anymore! i want a professional seemless completion of this project within the allowed time frame. So the project... I may have missed out some aspects here, but hopefully not. I would require to keep in touch for any future modifications as this project should be feasible for a while to come. i am looking to establish a Social Network, initially Australian based, that will be tailor made to be specifically for Social Events rather than soley member interaction, with GOOGLE MAPS API's implemended. Hence the website will not perform like other social networks but it would have profile etc functionality. it is firstly and foremost an events website, and then a social network. I would need a website that is able to allow for users to create/join social events mostly in their localities. for instance, if user "John" just moved into a new neighbourhood and is an avid baskatball fan, and would want to occasionally play basketball, he would just create a new social event eg) Friday night hoops at location X at 6.30pm. Users in that locality and sorrounding areas who would have basketball as one of their interests, ( or elected event) would recieve a notification that there is a basketball event with all the details. Each created event could have its own page (or an events page "My Events") where users can then declare interest. Of course it would go into more detail and have more options eg, sign up deadlines, etc. It MUST also have Google maps implemended. so that each event would have an individual icon on the google map. users should therefore be able to search for events by category or by title, date, locality etc. Users should also be able to search by using the map. Whereby if any of their elected events exist on that day, or 2-3day period (in their locality)they should be able to see them on the map as icons. Selecting them should link to the My events page with that event as the subject. ( " My Events " ) On the events , there should be: > the opting of max number of people, (eg 22 for a soccer game or 8 people for a book club...), >deadline signup date, (optional) > Location, down to street number (or click on a position on map)*** this can be optional because events can occur at users residences (eg: bible study, book clubs. in that case, the RESIDENCE option would be selected, with a check box for MAKE PRIVATE) example of other locatin would be Public Park, Court, Bar etc >start time, duration etc >Discussion panel >picture gallery of previous event (if event is recurring) >title of event etc >category etc (easily browsable category index) - Because of the large amounts of info that could probably be available, its preferable to have say a dhtml menu or something that effectively and clearly displays all this info. >Events can have the option to be private too, only viewable by a users Friends group. > ONLY the creators of events are allowed to delete them or alter them. subscribers members of these events should be notified of any editing or changes. . Members should also have the ability to block events/messages etc from certain users > members should have the option to add members of events to friends list in one go ( add all ) so in essence, the site should revolve more aroung these events. They should be the focal point of the website. Hence the home page should maybe display events in ip addresses's area or events to come of a search page.. can be anything, as long as it is an event item. Maybe event a map of australia that dissolves until it finally breaks down to Suburb Events Page Local Events Page ("my Local Events") > should display events in that postcode(s) preferably with a Google map on page aswell. > A discussion page (maybe a shallow forum) for say events or activities and for people to list a WANTED for users to come and join certain groups >there should also be a locations entity, Where users can then create an event centred arount a specific location. (for instance: a local swimming pool where users, upon visiting, can create a swimming gala event. Locations can be created by users (while creating an event or on their own on the My Local Events Page). > Local pubs and bars should also be able to create a location and hence create events centred on their locations. These non public locations, (other than residences, halls etc) could have their own Location Pages. Where they can list events, e.g. half price night etc. These would be at a premium. They could then send out invitaions to users who subscribe to those specific location events, or users who elect to be notified about that categories events. > Community organisations should be also able to list Localities for free. Eg schools, who may want to list events. These events would be then listed on the My Local Events page. ( " My Local Trade " ) There should also be a small market where members can post items for sale, such as used furniture or bikes etc, that would be otherwise difficult to organise transport for. Anything can be sold on this page though. This service initially would be a free service, but would have a premium in time. so payment functionality should be implemended, but should have the capacity of being switched off. or maybe just have the price set to $0 initially. ( " My Page " ) This would be the individual page for members of the site. This would be similar to the FaceBook/My Space interface with all those Social Networking functionalities. Messaging should be separate from events though, so that a member can opt to turn off events notificaion to email, but they will still appear in My events. if a member is subscribed/joined into an event, he/she should be able to send a message straight from the messaging inbox though, straight to the other members in that event, rather than having to go all the way to the events page to send a message. Individuals profiles can be set to private to as the case with facebook. In this case, only members of event, for the events duration have the ability to see the private members profiles When signing up, users MUST chose at least 3 event categories they would be interested in. Eg> categories >Sport > Tennis. For navigations sake, a folder like navigation should be at the top of every page eg) Home > A > B > C > ... > Y > Z it is not that difficult a site to achieve. I just do not have anytime whatso ever to do it. I look forward to hearing back from you if it is within your scope. I realise there is a lot of detail and in saying that, I guess I could allow for up to a month for 100% completion, however chances are we will be working together soon if project is successful.
