Description: |
You'll be building product review sites by compiling (and summarizing) the existing consensus of actual customers who have posted their opinions on the internet, similar to how “RottenTomatoes.com” operates to some degree. In this way, we can accurately portray a large volume of different products based on facts and actual results, without having to personally test or “review” the product ourselves – while simultaneously creating unique content for search engine purposes (and to provide value to our visitors). Furthermore, like RottenTomatoes.com, we'll also be using “snippets” of actual customer reviews and comments, and then sourcing the parent site (or forum) where they're published. Job Description: Specifically, for this first project you'll be researching & compiling facts to create “product reports” for the following titles: 1. Spy Fu 2. Wordtracker 3. Adword Analyzer 4. Keyword Discovery 5. Web CEO 6. Click Ad Equalizer 7. Rapid Keyword 8. Keyword Magic Professional 9. Keywords Analyzer 10. AdGooRoo 11. Keyword Country 12. Keyword Cruncher 13. Adword Accelerator 14. WordZe The website is set up as a Wordpress blog, identical to the one in the sample link below. You will be given an account to log in and create new posts that will contain the information listed on the next page. Familiarity with Wordpress is preferred, but not required. Navigation within the Wordpress backend is simple and can be taught quickly. To source actual customer feedback (not biased, affiliate reviews) for the purpose of research and quoting on the review page, what you'll want to do is search for the product name on the following types of sites: Forums in the market/industry Yahoo Answers Amazon.com (most products have user-submitted reviews) Google (be sure to exclude affiliated, biased or otherwise compensation-based reviews) (In your google searches, it's best to search for queries such as: “product name” + does It work “product name” results “product name” feedback And so on. Again, I can't stress enough the importance of filtering out biased reviews and focusing only on actual customer reviews. In general, you can determine this by looking to see if the commenter is promoting a related website or linking to the product with anything other than the actual merchant URL For each product, you'll be creating a page identical in format to the example at: http://luxuryforcheapskates.com/blog/index.php/2008/07/rolex-yachtmaster-gold-yellow/ With the above page as an example, here's a breakdown of each section that each “product review” page will have: Title: The full name of the product. This is the header of the page and will also be your title tag for that post. So make it entirely relevant. Post: This is where you introduce and describe the product. You should summarize what the product is/does based on its sales copy (merchant website), without being biased. Make sure to include an obvious referral link to the product in the first sentence. Categories: Select the most appropriate category for the product, or create a new one if need be. Company Info: Under the “Product Details” box, this is where you'd describe a bit about the developing company. It's important to stay as unbiased as possible. You can cite press releases and other sources if you wish, or just provide general background info. Product Specifications: Also under “Product details”, this is where you describe or input what the product actually "is". For herbal products, you'd list the ingredients and other factors here. For software, you'd list actual byte size (MB), version history, and so on. For books, number of pages - and so on. Price: List the retail price(s). Return Policy: Summarize the guarantee, trial period, return policy or refund policy. Image File Name: As above, you need to insert the filename of the image you uploaded in the “Add Media” function above the on-screen text editor. Rating: Under the “Feedback & Overview” box, rate the product according to the overall general consensus online by entering a number between 1 and 5. The software will handle the rest. Feedback: In this space, summarize your findings and report a verdict on whether or not the product is a recommended purchase based on other people's results. Customer Reviews: This is where you input snippets of actual unbiased reviews from around the web. Anywhere from 2 to 5 reviews will work just fine. I suggest using bold italics for the quoted snippets, and regular text for the credit/source underneath, as per this example. Official Website: Under the “Website” box, this last field is where you place the affiliate link, which will be the final link on the page, which points the visitor to the merchant. Important: This should definitely NOT be the only link on the page. You should have at least one top-fold, easy to see (and click) affiliate link at the top of each review page. Please complete the following steps and create a detailed, unbiased “fact sheet” for each product listed above. It's important to remember to include relevant title tags and meta descriptions for each page. For the title tag, the full name of the product and the phrase “unbiased review” should be listed. For example, “Blue Widget V 2.8 – Unbiased Review”. For the meta description, summarize the what the page is doing. For example, “An unbiased review of [product name] based on the results of several actual customers who have used it.” (Please slightly vary the “format” of the meta descriptions so that it doesn't appear to be cookie-cutter. The title tags, however, can follow the same format uniformly.) Completion: When the project is completed, please send a summary of all activity to Mike Long (Affiliatech) via PM. Payment: Please also include your Paypal details at some point prior to, or upon completion of the project. Alternatively, we can pay via Escrow or GetAFreelancer.com Contact: Your correspondent and project manager for this assignment is Mike Long, president of Affiliatech. Please address all questions and concerns directly to him via PM. Future Work: It goes without saying that good results will lead to more work in the future – and possibly much more work, depending on your schedule. We are active in many projects at any given time, and working with us is something that you'll find to be a positive experience in every way. Termination Clause: If the service provider becomes unresponsive, does not follow directions, commits acts that are unethical or illegal or otherwise does not complete the project in a reasonable, logical amount of time, Affiliatech reserves the right to cancel the project entirely and withhold any funds due. Payment is based on a successful project completion within a reasonable proximity to the service provider's initial time-frame. We are not unrealistic or demanding, but we do expect professionalism.
