Description: |
Hello experts, I need to set up an internet radio station. I'll provide a flash front-end and a streaming server with: Linux/Windows (you can choose platform) Shoutcast / SAM / Any other streaming server of your choice. Please tell me what you'll need and a short explanation why you want this platform/technology. The main backend functions are: 1. Upload and archive tracks / radio shows: Upload a file, add meta tags, description, artists name, URL, some textual info. The backend should also get or recognize the track's length in H:M:S format (from the file itself) and store it in DB. 2. Search/edit archive files (the meta data) 3. Create a weekly playlist: Edit a weekly playlist of tracks / programs from the archive in a visible manner, so the administrator sees exactly what is going to be played on each minute of the week. Also, the admin will decide in which hours during the week there will be live broadcasts. During these hours he will broadcast live from an IP he can set on the admin. Notice: The archive files can be hosted on a different server with greater storage capacity, if it's not too difficult for you. Front end: 1. The player needs to be added to our flash, so the stream is heard. 2. Now playing: The data of the track/program being played is displayed. Our flash will either open an XML socket for this or send a webservice whenever a new track is being played, you need to create the response providing the info from the DB 3. Search: our flash contains a search page, where users can find a track/program by title, performer or meta-tags. The search will send a web service, we need you to create the webservice providing the data to be displayed. 4. Play from archive: each result on the search can be played. I'll provide a link to the GUI to serious bidders. "Automatic" biddings, such as "we understand you project and have the expertise..." will not be answered. Please provide answers to my questions and expalin how you are going to work and why so. Thanks and good luck! Additional Description: The following was added to the description on Sun Apr 13 22:56:47 2008, after the project was originally posted. P.S.: Whenever there is a live broadcast, it should automatically be recorded and saved. When entering the admin section, the saved and not yet tagged files will appear, letting the administrator edit their info. Related Projects: This project is the proprietary information of .
