Redesign of web site: http://www.flashnewsgroups.com Requirements: 0. All work must be original and will be owned by Flash NewsGroups. 1. We need a new look and new functionality for our front page. Some Flash animation and a cleaner more professional look is desired. The front page needs a centered block of space for various USENET newsgroup statistics/content. All top menus will move over to the left side and will be easier to modify, add or delete. The right side of the front page will allow for small banners/links to internal pages or external sites. 2. We need a corresponding internal page design for the rest of the site. We use Perl/CGI scripts to read the resulting page file and then draw the page along with our content. 3. We need a redesign of the user login for customer account tasks. Currently the user has to login each time to do any one task. We need a single login on the front page, left side above the menus. 4. We need a better logo and banner for advertising on other web sites. Something catchy, but not annoying. 5. The top page banner will have a scrolling text mechanism, but not "in your face", more merged into the page or banner's background. This will advertise prices and slogans. There are several competing USENET Newsgroup providers; you'll want to take a look at their sites as well: www.usenetserver.com www.newsdemon.com www.corenews.com www.usenext.com www.giganews.com Please feel free to ask any questions and give any comments or suggestions at any point in the project. The graphic designer should feel free to design, but we prefer the use of Dreamweaver and Photoshop tools (cuz that's what we have ;-). Payment will be made promptly at the end of each stage of completion to our satisfaction. Additional work will be paid at your hourly rate. 50% Beta stage - We approve of one of your suggested designs. 50% Release - We approve the final result. We will not pre-pay for work requested. We reserve the right to cancel the project if we decide that we do not like the direction the project is going. You will of course be paid for any work done up to that point.
