near Seattle, Washington. A core store is an independant retailer known for being close to the street and often where trends start as opposed to stop. We have recently moved online and are looking for an artist in touch with and able to give form to alternative youth culture. We are a company dedicated to board sports--Surfing, Skating, Wakeboarding and Snowboarding. These sports are known for drawing the best and most creative kids, many who are disenfranshised or disheartened by more traditional sports and social groups. We seek an artist to help extend and further define our brand for AlternativeSports.com. There is no age or geographic requirement for this position. The only requirement is creativity of a type that will make most people stop and take notice of what has been created. Someone who can make an impact with other young adults who skate, surf, wakeboard or snowboard. The budget for this contract will initially be for 4-8 hours of work at $10 (USD)/ hour. After which time a continuing and indefinite amount of freelance work make be further awarded. The initial contract is to ascertain whether your creative passion will meld well with our young store. If you want to be considered (and we may pick several people from around the world to take a shot at this), please send us a link to something you are particularly proud of having created. Be it a banner, graphic, web theme or more traditional painting or image. No other outside works or prior art should be copied or duplicated as any part of this work.
