Description: |
development. Developer will need to create an interactive database for data entry, data lookup, and record storage. This database will be maintained by my web server and will potentially have many users logged on to it at the same time. Since I don’t know all of the developmental details, I will try to describe the “Customer experience”: My customers will log on to my website, and enter a customer specific area via a login and password. Once into their customer account, they will have several selections available, one of which will be the starting point for this GetAFreelancer (GAF) project called “Plan Development”. My website administrator will do the items mentioned to this point. I want to strongly emphasize that I don’t want the customer to feel “information overload”. I want multiple input screens with “cursor over” instructions for each field in which they will be entering data. At the bottom of each input screen, I want them to be able to save all of the information entered to that point, and easily navigate back to that point from the “Plan Development Homepage”. Additionally at the bottom of each input screen, I want the customer to be able to navigate forward and back one page, get help for all of the contents of the page, and click on an “email for additional help” button. Once my customer enters the “Plan Development” area, they will be prompted to enter information concerning their operation (name, address, phone, facility identification, etc.). Some of the pages will have dropdown menu selections, and based on the customers selection, the program will have to go to another database table (GAF developer must develop these, too) to look up subsequent information (this subsequent information is mostly static, but I will need to be able to access these sub-databases to update their information periodically.) Additionally, some of these dropdown menus will change the amount of information needed to complete the whole form, so subsequent input pages may have to have additional fields activated. Additionally, there are many other documents that will comprise the “Plan”, and unfortunately, these are all on paper. Another feature that I would like to have is the ability for the customer to attach these paper documents directly into web server storage. The customer will be prompted to attach various documents based on their selections from the dropdown menus. There may be areas of information that the customer will not be able to attain, and would like to seek our assistance in getting it. In those areas, it will be especially critical to have an easy email notification sent to us with customer’s request for help. Behind all of this information input, there will be mathematical calculations taking place that generate numbers that will be used on the final form that the customer will print. This final form has a specific layout (layout mandatory by law) and I can supply GAF developer with pdf version of the form. From this form (and the MS Excel equivalent), I would anticipate at least 600 input fields, 100 of which are “unique” and 500+ being input to complete a table that is 14-16 columns by X rows. I would also anticipate at least 75 calculations utilizing data that is entered or looked up from the sub-databases. There could be 10-15 sub-databases, potentially more depending on GAF developers design. Finally, all of the entered information will need to be saved as a database where customer can access the information at a later time. It should be noted that all of the information entered, calculated, or attached will comprise a legal document, and should be “held together” as a complete unit (use a customer defined Plan name for their ease of remembrance???). Further, accessing this information (after a specified time frame) will be a billable event as will the whole “Plan Development” concept of data entry, calculations, and record storage. Before printing the final forms and documents, or accessing the Plan after the specified time has expired, the customer will have to pay using a web pay service such as PayPal. I will need to work with the GAF developer in structuring this relationship with the pay service. I will need all of the source code for the program, as my web page administrator may make minor changes based on future needs. Best Regards, Lyndle Get $20 Off Panda Internet Security 2008.
