We are looking to have a site similar to this one, "nofonts.com" Will provide all required ".ttf" files. The code should iterate trough all .ttf files, generate the required Character Map and also some sample text. Also the script should be able to determine the Font Name from font file (.ttf file). The code should be implemented using either "Java" or "PHP" only. The font files and image files can be loaded from disk. The images files should be generated using offline process since the server may not have all images libraries to dynamically generate images from fonts at runtime. But the display of web pages should be dynamically generated based on records stored in MySQL database. So basically its a 2 step process. Step 1 iterate through all font files, generate required images and generate SQL required to insert records into database. Step 2, using either PHP/Java, generate web pages dynamically. Since Category cannot be determined from "font" file, for now you can generate all pages sorted in alphabetical order (A,B, C...). But then the the database design should support Category based display in future.
