** See attached PDF files for Project Description complete ** I am looking to create a town portal for my community. The main purpose of any portal is a "gathering" place for a community. Here the Puyallup Valley Portal will function the same as most Newspaper/Media web sites and or Community portals. This is a "local" portal. Revenue will be derived from OUTSIDE SALES. I will go to businesses in town and sell them "Featured" advertising spots within the Portal. Internet sales will not be a factor since this is a community portal. ** WHEN BIDDING programmer need to factor this in, this portal will be catering to a population of 68,000 + in my community, not a million people. So as you can see, my revenue factor is limited to only my community, thus the costs for the portal needs to be within the budget, but yet still get the quality and output of content as provided or needed for this project Programmers/bidders must have prior experience in building a portal, web magazine, city portal or online newspaper site. ** All bidders must show example work ** All bidders must communicate via PMB to discuss the following details- 1) Suggest the CMS to use for this project, in order to achieve the goals of the attached pdf file. 2) Suggest the needed scripts to have the portal function the way I am looking for in my attached pdf file. 3) Suggest the Video/Streaming media player and or scripts for the portal. 4) Suggest hosting options *Note* I have hosting, but programmer should suggest how much Space/Bandwitdth for portal will be needed. 5) Suggest or modify my layout that is in the attached pdf file. 6) Suggest any needed scripts, and add any comments that I may have left out after reading my project description. 7) Suggest and Ideas that you think will help keep the costs down for the project. ** Programmers/Bidders ** I am very open to all suggestions. Please communicate via the PMB. I like open and honest answers. If programmer has alternative suggestions in achieving the overall project portal, please suggest them. **Programmers or Bidders please read** I have researched quite a bit and have compared costs on this project. If you go to www.yourhometownportal.com, you will see the examples I used from above. I have already negotiated a price with regards to having my own site. My charge is $147 a month to have a portal their complete. Also, if you go to www.geovortals.com you will see their pricing structure their as well. I have a quote price of $2500.00. Also, if you go to www.dynaportal.com I have a quote their of $3600.00. I have been open and honest with this project outline and looking to get what I want for within my budget. So, please bid accordingly because I do have other options, but also, looking to get everything that I can so that BOTH you and I can make a profit. These are high quality portals, so my project budget is in the same area for the same quality and design. Winning Bidder/Programmer qualifications Must have a 10+ Rating ( or show previou portal work only) Must have prior portal experience Must have a team of Designers, Graphics and Media resources Must have Skype, or MSN or Yahoo Messenger Must have be ON TIME when meeting Portal deadlines Winning Bid Winning Bidder will have 50 % of the bid deposited via Scriptlance escrow. Winning bidder will communicate daily on the status of the project. Winning bidder will meet first deadline within 15 days of the beginning of the project. Winning bidder will get released the first half of winning bid upon successful beta test of web site. (80% completion) Winning bidder will get deposited the balance of the winning bid into Scriptlance escrow after succesfull beta test of web site.
