The website is an informational one with articles about student finance. An example would be finaid.org or www.gsfc.org. There only needs to be a creative and visually appealing home page design and a content page template design with pictures as well as an easy to use navigation system. The design should match the target market which is high school students going to college and college students as well as parents of college students. That's it, just those 2 pages. I will use the content page template for all of the content pages I will be writing. The focus here is on creativity! This project is for a website contest. Because this is a contest, I am looking for someone who is willing to work for porfolio experience and feedback, as well as a share of the rewards. The site will be rated for content (which I am writing), design, and marketability. If the site places 1st, you would receive $5,000. If the site places 2nd, you would receive $2,500. If the site places 3rd, you would receive $1000. If the site does not place, I will only be able to reimburse any scriptlance fees and provide positive feedback. There are only 25 other sites competing so this would be ideal for someone with a lot of talent who needs to improve their scriptlance rating and can do quality work without much effort and in a short amount of time. Because of this arrangement, I will not be selecting designers on bids but rather on mockups. You must have a mockup for consideration! A design portfolio is recommended. Remember, if you have talent and can come up with a creative design, you can easily earn up $5000 for just 2 web pages. Please let me know if you have any questions. Additional Info (Added 3/12/2006 at 14:15 EST)... The site will be judged on a variety of criteria including design, ease of navigation, an accompanying marketing plan, and SEO. The marketing plan will be tested by having the site go live on April 1 and stay up until May 31 during which time traffic will be measured. So any experience with SEO and web marketing would be useful. Also bear in mind that the winner will not be announced until June 1st where it will be posted online. I have noticed a few bids that do not acknowledge the contest and seem to be automatically posted without reading the project. To avoid any confusion about the terms, I will not accept any bids that do not acknowledge the contest and payment terms. Lastly, keep in mind that the theme of the site if student finances including financial aid, budgeting, scholarships, etc. The design is graded highly on creativity so this is what I would look for in a mock up.
