for a 'WebDate' based dating site. Existing free PHP forums are not as user friendly as I would like so the forum style would have to be 'newly' coded. I have definite ideas here and another site has a forum that has all the features I would like, although the proprietary code for it is not available. Other site modification work will probably be available over time. Requirements: -seamless authentication and integration with WebDate software -dating profile accessible from forum users post -ability to assign any picture within their profile to a post -emoticons/smileys available by clicking on graphic legend or manually typing i.e. :) :grin: +thread starter controls emoticon inclusion when starting thread +ability to add color/bold/italic/underline formatting of text in posts -thread starter can remove threads "hammer" and choose to ban that user from posting in thread again +thread starter selects hammer inclusion when starting thread -user currently online indicator (possibly restricted to paying members only) -posters can edit their own posts within a certain amount of time after posting (10 mins or so) +thread starter controls editing ability when starting thread -'teasing' thread excerpts to be displayed in the "Members Homepage", and possibly on the front page -administrative +administrator can remove threads and posts +assigned moderators can remove threads and posts (moderation rights assigned per board) +ability to assign various permissions to boards and users +ban members from forums completely or restrict them to certain boards +read only permission assignment to individual users/groups/payment status +non paying members are limited to a certain number of posts in a 24 hr period +banned word lists per boards (possibly with admin alerting when these are attempted) -must be coded with foresight for future enhancements that are not immediately required +favourite threads and new post indication +display pictures linked externally +users can post with attachments - separate documentation not necessary, but good self documenting code and comments amongst code are a must - a professional and quality look a must!
