I require a news service website that works similarly to www.newsnow.co.uk or the way Google now presents news based on a search term. (for example: http://news.google.co.uk/news?ned=us) The site will load news RSS feeds from 100's of sources and section news storys into different subjects based on the subject keywords being found within the RSS news headline or RSS quick content - Subject/catorgory lists and definition will be set in admin. The site will download all RSS feed info into a searchable database (30-day archive) on a cron job continuously. - With the possibility that the actual story content from the outside site's news page is downloaded into the database to. Cron jobs would run continuously with publisher importance being set in admin for different subjects. For example the scanning of Reuters would be more frequent than a small independant publisher that clearly publishes 10 stories a day. The front end will display infomation similar to the example site above.(NN) There will be a section for publishers to 'submit a site' or RSS feed. This infomation will be accessible in the Admin. Admin will be able to add into RSS list or decline for set reason. The backend admin needs provision to add/load/edit/delete new RSS/XML feeds to our sites list of searched news. Some RSS feeds will be from sites that are 'Registration only' sites so users of our site need to be warned about this before clicking through. There will be a user friendly search facility. A small CMS system in the admin is needed to add and edit various Misc pages. Plus a simple CMS for FAQ.
