Description: |
The goal is a simple PHP4 class that will allow people that have no CSS knowledge to change aspects of a basic CSS file by selecting colors and styles from an HTML form. The PHP4 class can parse a CSS file into seperated data where each CSS class has its own members like font etc. The class then can supply the HTML form with this data (grouped on CSS class name) that allows changing the CSS info. The markup (HTML) is seperated from the PHP code but the combination will allow flexible fields. This means if I extend the CSS stylesheet I do not have to go and alter the HTML form (or class for that matter). I don't care too much about PHP in the HTML, I do not want HTML in the class though. The HTML form may be crude but needs to present the user with dropdown boxes for possible styles, fonts and other available attributes one can assign to a CSS class element. Any numeric value may be in the form of a text field. Colors however should be selectable through a popup color selector. Javascript is allowed to accomodate this. It also needs a file upload form for inline url() CSS images. The fileupload must be properly handled so the final filename is in the CSS. Remember this is intended for people that do not understand CSS - they need to make visual changes instead of writing raw CSS in text fields. Furthermore it needs to be flexible, the stylesheet may become bigger or smaller. The HTML form should adapt. Upon submitting the HTML form the CSS file is rebuild by the class and written to file. The CSS file does not deal with DIV's, just basic CSS attributes for fonts, tables etc and is available upon request. Conclusion: - PHP4 class with documented functions - reads CSS file - parses CSS file into object - accomodates HTML form fields for each element - HTML is visual (popup color selector, dropdowns, minimize the use of text fields) - sanitized user input (upon read / parse / write) - writes values from form back to CSS file
