I will ONLY hire a team with EXTENSIVE experience in rekated programming and design. You must provide me reputable experience (i.e. accomplished work, your portfolio). ***This PROJECT assumes you have an EXCELLENT understanding of PHP, Apache Lucene, Apache Tomcat, database methods and design, etc.*** I am creating a price comparsion site much like Pricegrabber.com/Shopzilla.com. It will be a 100% niche comparison engine, written in PHP, and composed of the following elements: 1. Timed fetching and parsing of price/image/details from partner sites using web spider and third-party web scraper solution that I will be providing for you. Data is sent into Excel tables (.xls) and than exported to MYSQL Server 2005 (also timed via cron job). A. Spider is written in 100% Java. Must have knowledge of Apache Lucene and experience configuring Apache Tomcat 4/5 on Linux Server. 2. Customization, development, and integration of existing site templates into engine. A. Current site templates will be provided and will need to be converted from ASP to PHP. B. Development of PPC (pay per click) campaign on right side of search results (i.e. Google Adwords, Overture). C. Top Categories, Top Products, Most Popular, Merchant Ratings, etc. again Pricegrabber has a great example of this: http://www.pricegrabber.com/home_mostpop.php D. Product Comment box, user rating, user review. Functionality should emulate Pricegrabber.com: http://www.pricegrabber.com/rating_getprodrev.php/product_id=3761050/id_type=M E. Full comprehensive & expandable user database, including: personal shopping list, update information, password, etc. example: https://www.pricegrabber.com/user_login.php?redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pricegrabber.com%2Fuser_accounthome.php&login= F. IMPORTANT - Coding, style (css), overall appearance should be very clean, just like that of Pricegrabber.com Finally. I do demand nothing but top-quality work, I am VERY PICKY, and I must remind you that FUNCTIONALITY is key to this project. I am willing to pay top dollar but I do ask for nothing but top notch work. PLEASE!!! If you do not have the portfolio to back up your bid...this project is NOT for you.
