system where I need to show my members ads inorder to keep the exchange free. I have thought of alot of ways I could do this, but since pop-ups and popunders are quickly becoming less and less effective do to software blockers I have come up with this solutions. Here's the scenerio. 1. I send my members an html formatted email 2. They click on the included link and are sent two a two framed window(load two frames from one link script) A. The top frame will display the following text: "Please visit our sponsors, they help keep our service free. You will be redirected to the requested page in X secs. " The x would be a visible time that counts down from 20 secs. Below this needs to be a javascript open feature that allows the user to open a new window for the below framed url if they want to. With text reading. "Click Here To Open Advertiser's WebSite In New Window". B. The bottom frame would display a random advertiser's website. Now there are two ways to do this I could load my already made display random url script in which case you would just have make the script point to it and it will just pick a random site to show or perhaps it will needed to be coded another way since after the 20 secs is up the top frame will cause the bottom frame to skip past the advertiser's site and now load the orginal site requested. 3. After the top frame has re-loaded the bottom frame, the top frame should now also reload or at least change the text that it is displaying to now say, "Thank you for viewing our sponsor." Like I said earlier I can think of a couple of ways to do this but what I have laid out seems to be the best solution and causes the least amount of annoyance versus using a pop-up or pop-behind window. Hopefuly with this solution I won't run into to many people that can not use it. If you have questions then please make a post to the private board, and I will answer you ASAP. STOPzilla!
