not make rookie mistakes and write an indexing system with good design practices. We are looking for someone to develop an indexing system that can receive instructions (index, update, delete, query etc..) and interact through an API based on XML. Note: Systems runs in Linux (RedHat) The project has to use the new Lucene 2.3 engine (if based on Solr, then the an adaptation to the new Lucene is required). The project requires distributed index, sub indexes, live updates, date based ordering, limit, faceted search, and more. The project has to be well designed, well written, well documented and well executed. The project spans from design, to coding, to implemenation, setup, configuration, tuning and retuning. Programmer has to be communicative and available for working with, question and bug fixing. Preferably, we would like someone who can be available in the longer run for further modifications, bug fixing, tunning etc.. Accurate details will be given through the PMB. STOPzilla!
