translating into mysql, but im not bothered. this database holds a list of menu items split into 2 tiers. i need a cube to be displayed in the middle of the screen with information on the vertical axis if the cube from one tier and then related information from the 2nd tier displayed on the horizontal axis. e.g the 1st value on the front of the cube will display A, then the user needs to be able to spin the cube vertically to display B, then C, then D,E etc. then the user needs to be able to spin the cube horizontally, e.g. If the cube was displaying B and the user spins the cube horizontally then B1 would be displayed, then B2 then B3,B4 etc. Each of these values will be a hyperlink to an external site which needs to open in a new window. on hover over any of these values some related information from the database needs to appear in a pop up or window. the attached presentation should make this much clearer! i do not care what langauge is used as long as this site is easy to use, plain and simple. and it needs to be fast. i'm easy on what mechanism is used to spin the cube, clickable arrows or a drag hand. whatever, tell me what you think. the end aim is to have a really intuitive menu system to drive a shopping website. it should be easy to navigate. if it succesful future work will be required to add more cbes to the site. Additional Info (Added 11/15/2004 at 13:23 EST)... recent change, i decided to get off my bum and see how hard it was to build a mysql database. and it was easy. I have the SQL code needed to extract the information for the cubes and all i now need is the PHP to inbed it in and the front-end whether that be in java or flash or whatever. I will extend the auction by another 4 days and you can either leave your current bids or make new ones. i understand if you no longer want to bid at all, thanks for your time. also, more detail as to the working arrangements - i will provide you with full ftp and mysql access for you to upload your files.
