range. This project involves creating an application in wxWindows or Java that can be deployed on a server or stand alone client. When the application is deployed on server, it can be accessed by 1: N users, but some panels may be read only depending if another user is updating the same table/cell. The application will be maintained by one administrator user, but these rights can be giving out to multiple users. During web deployment, the front end will be accessible by users for updating their information via web. The application will store its information on a database developed using PostGRESQL. The database will have multiple flat files that will always maintain two copies in two different directories for redundancy purposes. The schema is developed but may need modification. The Installation will be developed using an ISMP (Install shield multi platform) based program or equivalent. It will deploy the software into the specified directory and applicable shortcut will remain on user's desktop. Upon entering the application for the first time, it will launch a wizard to set the admin, and allow the user some information. Once this information is set up, the admin can access the application. For this application you will need to create the following: - A calendar and scheduling software for 1:N users - GUI to database functions for Create, Update, and Deleting records - A web based front end for a connection to the same database as the application. - FTP scripts to ftp information - Creation of database in PostGreSQL - Reports with Web graphics giving report information - Data Encryption of certain files - Coding to particular guidelines and specifications (already created) - User administration will be part of this application deliverable Developers successful at completing the above will enter in another possible long term contract for modifying, updating the application.
