The standard in this area is for most caterers to have 2 parties on a given Saturday or Sunday. (one evening and one afternoon party) So the caterers actually drive the times that Vendors are busy. So a videographer for example can do 2 parties on one day as long as they don't overlap. The exception is a church wedding that typically starts at 2-4pm with a receptin in the evening. In this case the Vendor can only cover one job that day. We are looking for a tool very similar to the one below http://www.photovisions.djintelligence.com/availability/ This allows users to see if a given person or asset is available on a certain date. We will act as a third party for other websites (photographers videographers etc) to link to much like the link above. The url can be either companyx.ipnumberof ourserver or ipnumberofourserver/companyx rather than showing customers the third party name as djintelligence.com does. A form is needed for these companies to enter all their dates in a batch or other way for them to enter their busy dates without a time consuming one date at a time approach. Another requirement is the ability to indicate if they are busy all day (default) or are available in the afternoon or evening. (Evening is 6PM on) and afternoon is anytime from 6:AM til 5:59 PM. NOTE this does not require any kind of hourly tracking. If the user checks - Available Evening or Available afternoon OR Does not check anything else for that date entry... the following happens. When a customer visits one of our vendors (say a photogrpahers) website and enters their wedding date they will either get - Sorry that person is busy or photographer is available (no entry in database for that date) or photographer is available in the afternooon or evening only (depending on if this box was checked when the photographer updated their calandar in our database.)
