What I need is a Helpdesk ticketing web application with integrated Live Support. Some features: . Ticketing Search (by ticket number, sender's email address) Multiple users (known as operators) - view,add,update,remove. Passwords, permissions etc. View open tickets (default main view when application is loaded.) View tickets with other status such as: Closed, New, Awaiting response from Client, etc. Ability to add & remove status names in this web application (need permissions set). Clients have three options: 1. sign up for a support account & log in. 2. send a request via eMail which is read by the application and stored as a ticket in the db. 3. send a support request via a HTML form. eMail settings: - ability to set the default response sent to the client upon receiving a new request. -- Must be able to insert customisable fields like name. "Thank you for your eMail Sean". - turn on/off email notiifcation when a message status has been changed. Also set body & subject text. - replies can be optionally automatically sent via email. . Live Chat View list of visitors on site. - Ability to click on a visitor and have a popup-box appear on their browser starting a chat session with them. - view list of Incoming chat requests. Click one to start chatting with the visitor. All conversation transcripts should be automatically saved. Ability to view & search list of existing chat transcripts & select one for viewing. When chatting - send file to client, receive file from client. - I have an idea how to do this, it's not difficult. Programming: All code should be heavily commented. Programming language: Java, web application running on Tomcat 5. Suggested logging mechanism: log4j. No use of JSP pages, all static templates loaded from disk and values inserted into correct places. Communication between client & server is with JSON-RPC. This is really easy to use and I will provide code samples of how to use it. Basically it means that no page refreshes are needed. See the following url for more info on JSON-RPC: http://oss.metaparadigm.com/jsonrpc Requirements: Must be cross-browser compatible. (eg: IE, Netscape, Opera, Firefox). All HTML must use CSS stylesheets. Minimise the use of graphics. I will provide a 'style' that I want you to use. Payment terms: I will put the first 20% into escrow as soon as a winning bidder is picked. First 20% released upon delivery of detailed document of - Project specification -- Project plan (milestones, start date, delivery dates, final delivery date, testing & bug fixing) -- Database layout -- Complete features list. ---- It will be up to you to come up with the ideas about what features are best for this type of application. Next 50% upon satisfactory demo of working application. Final 30% when all bugs are fixed. All payments made will be via escrow. NO EXCEPTIONS. The rules: Daily updates on your progress via eMail. NO EXCEPTIONS or I will award the project to somebody else. For the source code, I will be the sole intellectual property owner. Any software modules used and/or included must be open-source & not violate any copyright restrictions. You must be easily contactible and I prefer to communicate via instant messenger. Yahoo or Hotmail is fine. I am online every day for any questions that arise during the project. Delivery: - Project specification (as mentioned above) - Simple installation program to install the software, set permissions & create the database. - Helpdesk with live support web application. I am a Java programmer but do not have the time to complete this project myself and this is why you see it here posted on scriptlance.
