If you think that I should buy an already existing script, please point me to that url and tell me how much you will charge in addition to me purchasing the script to modify it the way I am specifying below. ----------------------------------------------- This clone doesn't have to be exact to each, but should contain the following things from start. User enters 5 digit u.s. zipcode before they are asked any further questions the zipcode entered is checked against my zipcode database. Some zipcodes have multiple city names, so if there are several, there should be a prompt where they select which city they are referring to, although the latitude and longitude will be the same, only a different name for the same zipcode. They are asked for their birthdate, the user must be astleast 18 years old to continue registration. The next registration step is to choose their username which can be no longer than 16 chars long and contain only alphanumeric chars, and enter their email address which can be no more than 30 chars long. These variable lengths should be customizable in an included config.php file of some sort. The registration is complete until a user clicks on the link contained in the email. If the link is not clicked within 48 hours the temp registration database entries are deleted to avoid wasted database space. When the user clicks the confirmation link, the account is activated, pending of course the registration is completed. The registration should include sexual orientation, password, aim,& icq, & msnm, & yahoo ids, about me text field, etc. Certain key items should be recored during registration like the 'join date', 'last login', etc. Users should be able to upload up to 20 pictures which auto resize and auto thumbnail. Users can select their primary photo and add comments and delete existing photos. The config.php file should contain the max image size, incase I want to have a 200kb limit or 500kb limit, and maybe some other limits. Important key feature - Image verification must be used for certain functions like message sending. I do not want mass messaging. You should keep in mind ways to reduce database use and or reduce bandwidth or diskspace use during the construction of this website. Each user will have his/her own page link such as ~/myownpage to give the link to others. Users will be able to search for friends based on how many miles to the zipcode they enter, plus there will be an advanced search so they can choose male/female/either, sexual orientations, pictures, online only, online within 48 hours, online within 7 days, etc. The search results will just be the users primary photo and their username above, this way we can show more results per page, etc. In other words for that section you will need to understand how to determine distance in U.S. miles based on the latitude and longitude coordinates of two different zipcodes. When someone finds someone to add as a friend, the user being added will receive an email request from the site stating the original user would like to add them as a friend. They must agree before being added to the original persons friends list. At any time people can remove themselves from someone elses friends list. Random friends (name and thumbnail) will be shown on each users main page. People can message other members, whether friends or not, and people can block members from receiving future messages from them. Users can delete messages in their inbox, review/delete previously 'sent' messages, etc. People can have their own blog, and can customize the look of their page just like on myspace with their own background images, using html, etc. Please familiarize yourself with myspace. Security should be taken into consideration. There should be no way that malicious code can be entered anyplace, and the zipcode can only be 5 digits and contain only numbers.
