Description: |
I would like a home page created and designed with a new and professional look and feel for a new web site called HotBatteries.com. This project will include the creation of a logo that can be used for both online and offline print and advertising. I am looking for a new and professional layout that will be very easy and intuitive for someone to use and allow them to easily find their battery. You do not need to know how to integrate your design into my products database or shopping cart. My programmer will do that. But you do need to show the placement of the various shopping cart links and supply a working example how the product search links will look and how they will bring up and display the person's batteries. Therefore, in addition to the home page, one or two other pages may be needed, depending on your design. The home page must be a page that I can use with an oscommerce web site. The product category links should be in the left margin. No javascript should be used that would prevent search engine spiders from bringing up the product pages. Look, feel, graphics, font types, sizes, and colors are most important here to give that professional appearance. And a logo that can be used to brand the web site and products both online and offline is crucial. But a fast loading site with a dial-up internet connection is also very important. I'm not looking for a complete or even a functional web site, only looking for the following: (A) a new home page designed with a professional look and feel to it for the new web site HotBatteries.com, (B) a new and better way for customers to find batteries for their products, the search method used on my old site TheBatteryShoppe.com is not good - customers would prefer to browse a list, and (C) a nicer way to display the product and product information that are found that keeps the same general theme of the home page. This word.doc document at http://www.thebatteryshoppe.com/test/scriptl3.doc has some web sites that I like the way they look or work. This will give you some indication of what I am looking for in an ecommerce web site home page. Any questions, please ask. A unique and very professional look and feel with a creative design approach and an easy way for customers to browse a list of products is what I am looking for. But Not a splash page or doorway entry page. Like in the examples included in the scriptl3.doc document above, links to product categories must be included in the home page, preferably in the left margin. Please send me a PM with a list of other ecommerce or catalog web sites you have designed. I will determine the award of this project primarily based on their professional look and feel. This project post will not be closed early for any reason, so don't ask. I want to give everyone equal time to carefully respond and ask questions. Payment will be through escrow only and at the completion of the project, unless we otherwise agree to some other payment in writing before the bidding is closed. You must be able to start working within a couple days of the close of bidding and awarding of this project. And you cannot, under any circumstances, be a "middle man" and subcontract this project out to a different company. Tell them to place their own bid. Communication is very important and you must provide a phone number where I can contact you if necessary. If more than 2 days goes by without a response to any of my emails I send you, it is agreed the project has been abandoned, you will not receive the money in escrow, and the project will be listed again on scriptlance. Please see the word document at http://www.thebatteryshoppe.com/test/scriptl3.doc for more information. Thank you for your time and good luck bidding. Steve Additional Info (Added 6/23/2005 at 18:43 EST)... I have been asked the same questions by several people. I have put their questions and answers together in this document: http://www.thebatteryshoppe.com/test/scriptl5.doc I hope this makes more clear my intentions and desires. Thank you for your time.
