Description: |
Project: To construct an adaptive environment containing user generated content and content supplied by the artist (me). This environment would be one based around the idea of collage or scrapbooking. Each item would be a 'fragment'. The element of chance, and unpredictability is important. Each fragment would be able to be modified in ways such as scale, rotation, opacity. Some pieces would only have a few or none of these abilities, again according to chance. Others will move around according to various parameters. Sometimes all the fragments will decide that they want to stay where they are, and a snapshot will be taken. This snapshot will itself become a fragment that can be accessed in the Hypercollage. (there will also be the option to take a snapshot yourself) Some elements will have attached sound. Upon entering the environment the user will be given a set of fragments chosen at random from the database. The interface should be as simple as possible. Fragments should be treated as though they are made of paper, therefore an option to tear or cut them would be advantageous. All visual elements for interface will be provided by me, upon discussion with successful programmer. Check attachment for illustration of style. Users will be able to upload their own fragments for others and themselves to use. Please respond with details of interface ideas, also ideas that embrace the ideas of chance and unpredictability are very welcome. I look forward to working with you, good luck with your bids!
