Flash Timer --------------------------- Purpose: A Super Simple Count Down Timer in Flash - Work with player in Flash 6 and up. (even Flash 5 if you can) - the smaller the .swf the better. ---------- Reference: See the sample .fla file at: (this is a stop watch, not a count down) http://gieson.com/Library/projects/utilities/stopwatch/index.html ---------- .swf, .fla required, all source commented and well written. Must work on Mac and PC Add the following to change the Stop Watch to Countdown timer 1- Make it a count down timer (NOT a stop watch) keep the reset button as is. 2- ADD a nice, clean, simple progress bar below digits 3- How to set the starting value Type into the LCD Display 60 for 60 minutes or 120 for two hours or 2:00 for 2 hours. 3- Progress bar indicator When the timer is in count down mode... progress bar will be displayed graphically showing how much time is left If for example, the counter started at 30 minutes, then the max value of the progress bar is 30 minutes, and it will move down, as the display moves down Color indicator of Pause button. After the Play (the start button) is pressed The PAUSE button should be a GREEN color to start... then orange at 2 minutes to go, then red from 60 to 0 seconds. 4- ADD sounds (alarm) Sounds: Reference sound file: http://www.a1freesoundeffects.com/freesounds/cardoording.wav Extact ONE ding from here, so we can loop it to save file size One minute warning sound: No matter HOW long the timer has counted down from: at 1 minutes: play one minute warning sound - just ONE ding. at 0 minutes to go: After time is up, 00:00 sound will be LOOPED times, 6 dings from same file pressing stop will cancel sound. ----------------------------- Thanks, hope this is a lot smaller in scope that my last project posted.
