Looking for experienced Delphi 7 programmer to write a simple report creation
GUI using Free Reports. The Free Reports GUI will have to be customized and
modified, i.e. "dumbed down", to support only certain specified components. The
final program will be used by operators with little to no computer training at
all.
If you have experience using Fast Reports (the commercial version), or any other
open-source/free/cheap reporting solution component, I would willing to pursue
the solution with that instead. Altenrative Visual Basic solutions are welcomed
as well.

All reports will have simple layouts.
Ability to select custom page size (letter, legal, A4 envelope) and orientation
(portrait or landscape).
Will need to add png and jpg as acceptable placeable image formats.
No direct database tie-in is necessary, but customizable drop-down fieldname
placeholders would be nice.
No report "banding" will be used
No header or footers will be used
No tables or multi-column tools will be used
No RTF edit boxes will be used.
Only a select few fonts will be used. Some sort of font management funcionality
would be a plus.
We do not need to export to Word, PDF, Excel, HTML, etc. Just the native ability
to print the report.
Most importantly, the Report Maker will need to have an export function that
will output a layout definition document in text or xml that will be used later
in our process to create a PDF form using PHP. Knowledge in PHP EzPDF library
is a great plus, but not necessary.
EXE, all source code, and a dummy walkthrough of the code due on delivery.
