The overall puposes for this redesign is to: - Improve management efficiency (ease of updates) - Improve overall design and usability to appeal, primarily, to 25-35 year old moms. Pre-built, open-source, or free scripts and templates are acceptable provided usage rights are transerred. BID REQUIREMENTS To be considered, you must provide: 1. A design mockup for the site (in JPG format). 2. A set, "will not exceed" price (no hourly bids) 3. A "will complete by" deadline PROGRAMMER/DESIGNER SELECTION I will pass on all bids that meet the above requirements to my client for review. They will make a selection based upon the quality, price, and time to implement. COPY/TEXT The site will use the existing copy. However, some latitude for creativity will be given to improve the overall experience. PHOTOS Only the existing photos will be available. The winning programmer/team will be responsible for using stock photos as necessary to enhance the site look. Non-template-related images should be easily updated. GRAPHICS An original logo (Macromedia Freehand format) will be provided. The winning programmer/team will be responsible for using clip art or original design as necessary to enhance the site look. We will require a templatized system that can be easily changed--design must be independent of programming and content. CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS) We will have multiple "administrators" of the site that will be logging in from different locations. These administrators will be responsible for updating content which will include calendar events, images, and text. They should not have access to the site's templates (i.e. headers and footers). The CMS used must: - be search engine friendly and allow different titles and meta tags for each page - be web-based - generate static HTML pages OR must allow for rewritten URLs via htaccess/mod_rewrite.
