I also need this script to allow users to access previous records to view and make changes. Again, it is import for the forms to always have the same layout. I addition to these requirements, I need to have the form upload image files and pdf files and assign unique names to each file uploaded so as to insure that no files are over written. Also, the image files will need to be autmatically resized to a size no larger than 350 pixels X 350 pixels and optimized for file size. Preferrably, pdfs would need to be optimized for file size if possible. The current form I have simply enters the data into a MySQL database with no file upload/optimization and without the ability to view and edit records. I would like to be able limit the user's ability to enter, view, edit, and delete records. I would need an admin backend that I could enter, view, edit, and delete records and files. I would need to be able to manage users within groups. For example, I might have group XYZ that has 10 users that are allowed to enter, edit, view, and delete records and files for their organization. But those users would have no access to group ABC and group ABC would not have access to any other groups' files and folders. I am assuming that this would require each group to have its own database with a table of allowed users and related security data and a table for the actual records. I hope this is some what explained well. If you have any questions, please let me know. I have attached a copy of the PHP file I am currently using and the table layout I want. The file is saved as example.txt. The following items are image fields: sideA, sideB, sideC, SideD, PRoof, POther The following items are pdf fields: msds1, msds2, msds3, msds4, floor1, floor2, floor3, floor4, plot I will need these fields to have the unique name of the file, example 1223sideA.jpeg, 3453msds1.pdf etc. The files will need to be uploaded to my server into two seperate folders named /preplans/images and /preplans/pdfs. The reason for al of these requiments is that I will export all of the records from each group into HTML files that will be formatted exactly like the example I gave you above and the fields for the image names and the pdf names will serve to create links to the files from the HTML files. The image files, pdfs, and HTML will be burnt onto disks and will have to keep the file structure intact. This file will need to be completely commented so as to allow a beginner MySQL/PHP person such as myself to make file directory changes and to install for new databases as I need to.
