Description: |
I would like to have a complete web 2.0 site designed with some basic social features. The purpose of the site is to allow people to input something they would like to protest. Other people will then able to agree and join in protesting with it by adding their "vote". The number of people who vote on, and who they are will be shown in real-time. People will also be able to comment on what is being protested. The comments will show on the same page as the protested item. When a user enters something to protest, it will be stored in the database. I would like a similar feature as the site Digg has that will detect if a similar item is entered that already exists in the database, it will show the similar things and the user can choose to vote on the already existing protest. I would like the homepage to show the 10 most recent things entered that are being voted on, as well as the 10 most active things being voted on. I would like users to be able to message eachother, and display a profile photo as well as some demographic information in their profile such as age, location, hobbies, etc... I would like the design of the site to be simple and clean looking, staying true to the web 2.0 look. The site must be scalable, and have a stable database on the backend. Any further questions, please ask. I would like to work with a designer who is flexible, and will show me his progress as the site comes along.
