elements of EBAY.

At this stage it is difficult to fully specify what is required as this will
almost certainly change as the site evolves and people start using it, but to

· Create/edit news and other content items
· Assign to networks, members and/or events

· Search

· Messaging database -
· Emails between members
· Email to invite new members/friends
· Private messages between members on site

· Photos database -
· Upload photos
· Resize
· Galleries
· Search
· Assign to networks, members and/or events

· Discussions database -
· Post messages
· Edit and remove
· Search and browse
· Email notification of new posts
· Assign/link to networks, members and/or events


· Marketplace database -
· Offers/request for work
· Expire after given time
· Banner adverts

The site would be developed round an MS SQL database, to give a reliable and
scaleable platform for this application.
