Description: |
Project Summary: I basically want a program to create other programs by using one interface. The program idea is to take any existing webpage, drop it into the program, and spit out a standalone program that will be useable on any platform with a customizable screen size. I want to be able to have a quick and easy way to create my own programs by inputting some data. Its basically a software creator or make. Similar to the idea behind the "Instant Software Maker". I will send a copy of the example program to give an idea of what I want. The main focus is on simplicity. Here is my User story: When user opens the program he will be taken to the start screen with the "Program Title" up top and "Program Logo" in the top right corner and a "Start" button at the bottom and copywright info shown in the middle. When the user presses the "Start" button a popup will ask the user if they want to "Create a new project", "Open an existing project" or "Quit". 1. New Project- (Screen 1- Software Details) User will answer the following questions with form boxes for input Software Name (This will appear in the Program Title Bar and be shown next to the Software Icon) Software Creator/Company (This will appear in the About box with a copywright symbol next to it with a current year stamp) Software Description (This will appear in the About box under the Software Creator) Software URL (This will appear in the About box under the Software Description in the form of a text link) Software Icon [optional] (This will be the icon for the final created software) User will have the option to select "Save & Continue" or "Continue" at the bottom to continue to Screen 2. (Screen 2- Software Layout) User will have an open text area with a WYSIWYG editor with an HTML option. If HTML is selected, another popup opens for writing code inside that the user must select "Update" or "Cancel" before it closes. User will have the the option to select "Load Template" or "Paste from Clipboard" User should have the opportunity to insert images and write in PHP or HTML. User must insert "tags" inside the text area to create changeable text or images (I.E.- %%This Text Tag%% for text or ##This Image Tag## for images will be used as a input fields in the software) User will have the option to "Go Back", "Save & Continue" or "Continue" at the bottom to continue to Screen 3. (Screen 3- Software Tags) User will be shown a list of the tags he/she made on the previous screen. User creates a question and description of each "text" tag until they are all complete. User will move through the "text" tags by selecting them from a prefilled dropdown box with each tag. As each tag is selected, a new input box opens to fill with the appropriate data. User inserts uploads an image for each "image" tag, including dimensions (for example, Width=100px, Height=200) until all image tags are complete. User will move through the "image" tags by selecting them from a prefilled dropdown box with each tag. As each tag is selected, a new input box opens to fill with the appropriate data. User will have the option to "Go Back", "Save & Continue" or "Continue" at the bottom to continue to Screen 4. (Screen 4- Software Output) User will choose whether to create a standalone software app, installable software app, and/or print script/code User will have the option to "Go Back", "Save & Continue" or "Continue" at the bottom to continue to Screen 5. (Screen 5- Software Finalize) User will choose the size of the program window for the software User will input a width User will input a height User will select a folder to output the new program in. User will have the option to "Go Back", "Save & Finish" or "Finish" at the bottom to continue to Screen 4. (Screen 6- Software Confirmation) User will see a confirmation and summary of all of the above settings for the software on screen with the option to print. User will then have the option to "Create a new project", "Open an existing project", or "Quit". If the user selects quit, have a pop up box say "Are you sure?" and the user selects "Yes" to exit or "No" to continue using the program. 2. Old Project- User will select the previous project by opening an explorer window and selecting the project. User will see the summary screen with "Edit" buttons next to each section of the project (Software Details, Software Layout, Software Tags, Software Output, & Software Finalize) When the user selects the "Edit" button, he/she will be taken to the appropriate section of the project with the current data already prefilled in. After completing an edit the user will be taken back to the Summary screen and will have the option to "Save & Update" or "Cancel" Thats it!
