modifications & additions to a clients CMS driven ASP site/store: 1: Modification to an existing ASP website to allow for the following mailing list: a. Automatic signup to the eNews mailing-list for eNews Subscribers b. A checkbox on the Checkout pages that if ticked adds users to the members mailing list. c. Both Members & eNews Lists to be accessed via the CMS & e-mail sent from within the CMS. d. An unsubscribe/Opt Out function to be added to the site with an Opt-Out link that goes in all e-mails. EXPLANATION OF WORKS: Currently the site has an eNews Letter signup, but this simply sends our client an e-mail message only. Instead we wish for clients who signup for the newsletter to be added to a Mailinglist program built to be built into the CMS. We also want a checkbox in the checkout page that can be checked for joining the eNews Letter list when filling in the delivery details. We then want our client to be able e-mail both Members & eNews Letter subscribers directly from the CMS, but as 2 separate lists. That way our client can offer discounts to members only. The opt-out aspect is self explanatory. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 2: A Coupon driven discount function: a. Our client wishs to provide their corporate customers with the ability to have a 'alpha/numeric coupon id' that can be entered by any of their corporate clients staff, which enables specific discounts. The CMS would have to be able to create individual coupon id's with unique discounts. b. Coupon ID creation to be done manually via the CMS c. Unique discount breaks to be done manually when setting up each coupon. d. The coupons are NOT to be associated with specific users or products, simply discounts. e. A Coupon field also needs to be added to the Checkout page. Can be left blank if no coupon is entered. EXPLANATION OF WORKS: We wish for our client to be able to manually create/add coupons to the CMS. Each coupon allows a unique discount to apply to it's users. We want the same coupon to be able to be used by anyone who posses it. The coupon discounts need be a recurring feature (until removed or modified). When an order comes through that has used a Coupon, we wish the order e-mail to also carry the coupon ID. This will allow the staff to be able to manually add free chocolate etc (if they want to) to the order before delivery. Note: Currently, for members only, there is a % break after a customer spends a certain amount each time. The coupons need to run independently of this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 3: Change to the checkout/account signup process: a. Anyone buying flowers to automatically become a Member (currently it has to be done manually, and any discounting benefits are lost) b. A confirmation e-mail to be sent to members upon sign up with their username & details. EXPLANATION OF WORKS: When somebody adds a product to their cart (if they're not logged in as a member already) then the site will send them to the members login page (where they will need to login in or alternatively create a member account to proceed).Once they have either logged in or created their account they proceed to the extras page and the item they already added to cart is remembered (cookies). Note: Currently one can signup as a member & receive discounts (Setup in the current CMS) depending on how much they spend. However there is no mandatory signup fields when checking out. This has resulted in NOBODY signing up first to become a member, and so no savings are being passed to the customers. We want to change this so that ALL who buy from our clients site can get the savings on future sales.
