Here is the question (answer in detail): What would be the cost and server setup associated with larger sites (social network like myspace but not as big: 2-5 million members) that have photos (no media files) and would average 250-500 million pageviews+ a month. I'd assume you would need multiple servers (image, mail, db, data) but what else? Preferebly linux, php, mysql but overall the best setup for performance, scalability, etc. Give details.
