==================== This should be a pretty easy research project requiring very little technical knowledge. We need instructions for inserting our tracking pixel into each of the major shopping carts. Fortunately, this is a fairly standard process (it's exactly the same process one would use to install Google Analytics tracking code). What we need you to do is to step through a list of shopping carts, and figure out how our tracking pixel should be placed in each. Because the process is almost the same as inserting Google Anlytics code, you can usually find the information you need immediately by simply searching Google for " google analytics". Google analytics is much more complicated than our tracking pixel. We only need two fields, [salesTotal] and [orderID] -- so our tracking pixel looks like: Your job will be to figure out how to replace [salesTotal] and [orderID] with the appropriate information. Implementation: =============== - Download the attatched "carts.htm" - Create a text file with this block repeated and filled in for each cart: *************************************************** Cart Name: ------------- HomePage URL: ------------- Description: ------------- Location of "receipt" page: ------------- Code to insert: ------------- source: *************************************************** For example: *************************************************** Cart Name: aMemberPro ------------- HomePage URL = http://www.amember.com/ ------------- Description: aMember is a flexible membership and subscription management PHP script. ------------- Location of "receipt" page: Look in the "templates" folder for the file "thanks.html", insert code at the bottom right before ------------- Code to insert: ------------- source: http://www.amember.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4095&highlight=analytics *************************************************** Most carts will be very simple but a few may require a little ability to understand PHP or ASP. I expect this job to take about 3-5 minutes per cart so a total of about 8 hours of online research to accomplish all 107 carts (see attached carts.htm file). If you want to do it part-time, that's ok too. I'll expect a minimum of at least 20 carts per day and I'll pay you (via PayPal) based on dail delivery.
