Design My Templates with a Control Panel

Bidding Time:
26/07/2005 22:25 - 30/08/2005 00:00
Budget:
$100-300
Status:
Closed

Job Type:
PHP, Website Design, Perl/CGI, Cold Fusion, ASP
Description:

Scope of Work:

First, we would like to have three or four fairly basic templates designed
specifically for our use. These templates will be used to create multiple
websites of four to five pages each. It is very possible that we will use the
same template to create more than one website. Therefore, we will need the
ability to easily change various elements of the template (background color,
fonts, navigation bar, any background images/watermarks, etc.,).

The template design effort does not have to be too complex as we are just
looking for clean, creative templates that incorporate the same theme (the
actual theme will be provided to the winning bidder) in each template, but in
several different styles with somewhat creative/artistic background graphics.
While you may choose to incorporate them, there is no need for the use of flash
or other heavy animation, just creative navigation buttons and a nice design for
the background layout of each template. A sample layout is attached in PDF
format (you will see why we need a web designer), but please realize that this
is just to get an idea of the number of pages needed and their function. It
DOES NOT represent the actual industry or style that we desire.

In addition to providing these templates, the chosen GAF provider will need to
provide us with the ability to easily modify and publish these templates for
different customers, with minimal effort. We are currently using FrontPage to
do this and, while our employees are somewhat familiar with HTML basics, it
would help tremendously if there was an administrative control panel that
allowed our employees to edit/change content wording and navigation buttons,
change background and/or navigation bar and/or text colors, update pictures and
logos as required, as well as update/change meta tags, search engine keywords,
page titles, etc., and even provide the ability to publish the websites to
different IP addresses, if at all possible.

I am not sure if this would be asking too much for this price range or not,
although I guess that the added bonus of having a control panel that easily
incorporated these design templates and allowed us to make these changes may be
the deciding factor in choosing a partner/provider. If an administrative
control panel is too complicated for this price range, than please outline
clearly how you would suggest that our employees would update and publish these
mini-websites with minimal effort/skills.

When bidding, please let us know the cost for additional templates of the same
quality, if and when they are required in the future. Your bid should include a
detailed explanation of what you are providing, what language(s) you are using
to program the control panel, how you will transfer the technology to us, as
well as references of previous work/sites that you have done and a fixed cost
for additional templates as they are needed. Any additional questions or
comments are welcome.

Each of the website templates should be coded with proper HTML and Meta Tags
optimized for search engine crawling. Please note that the websites will be
hosted on a Windows NT server that supports FrontPage 2000, Dreamweaver, ASP
& PHP scripting.
