in the process of creating. Design of pages will be provided by us, but coding and integration of design with coding will be done by you. The website will be similar in structure to www.yelp.com and http://www.goldstarevents.com. However the content will be for non-profit events in 5 major cities (will grow to other cities if successful). So it is really a combination of yelp functionality for users combined with a directory listing of events like goldstar (with a short description listing and a detailed listing page that includes a photo, link to their website, description, rate event, write review, send to friend, etc.). Events will be searchable by date and/or by city/category (will be approximately 15 categories in each city). Events will need to automatically be deleted when the date has past for the event. Functionality should also include the ability for people to purchase listings. Free listings will be just a short description. Paid listings will have a detailed listing with links to their site (all will have photos). Will also be able to purchase a premier listing that will be listed in a primary position. We would ultimately like to also offer ticket purchasing for these events. Please quote this separately however. (would want to have user be able to purchase tickets, give tickets as a gift and invite people) Users will need to be able to create a profile with their photo and several fields for their likes and dislikes. Also of course their email address, city lived in and zip. Also will have an area for them to check which cities they want to receive event information about. When users log in to our site…the home page will be personalized to the user – welcoming them to the site as well as listing current events in the cities they have chosen. Additionally the users must be able to receive weekly emails showing them current events in their cities of choice. Users must be able to edit their account, create a favorites list, see the reviews they have written, and invite friends. See yelp.com for example of user page. We would need to be able to see also reviews written (would want filters to delete reviews, i.e. bad words, etc.) Work will begin approximately mid October to end of November 2005 and should be done in 4 weeks time. I would like anyone who is interested in this to give me at least 3 examples of similar type websites they have built and detail previous experience.
