what i want from the visitors perspective is the script (ASP) to add a comment and the script to view all comments made. i also want to be able to admin the comments. so here is what a user will/should see... the text of my article .... blah blah... the text of my article .... blah blah... the text of my article .... blah blah... a two box form name comments [send button] last comment made text of comment text of comment text of comment [see all comments # of comments link] - this will open a small window with article title and a list of comments when send button is clicked - comment is emailed to me as well as placed in the database (access 2000) the page is refreshed to show the added comment as the last comment made. the script should check the comment for any strange characters such as quotes so that it does not error when saving to DB or emailing. the comments are not threaded in anyway. there should be a set of adminpages to do the following. the DB will have a articles table ID ArticleTitle which should have admin pages to list (should show the id and title)/add/edit/delete them from the list of articles clicking on a article will display all the comments made for that article and by each comment there should be a edit, delete and hide/show button. the delete should have a 'are you sure' before it really does delete it. and the hide/show is a toggle so that visitors will see or not that particular comment. the edit button speaks for itself. email will be done using SMTPsvg.Mailer object small budget as i could do this myself - but am busy (writing the articles) O and if you want paying upfront - don't bid - Get $20 Off Panda Internet Security 2008.
