We need a PHP/PERL and MYsQL programmer to covert our current website from ASP/Access to PHP/Mysql or PERL/Mysql whichever is best. We are trying to have it operate like: http://www.idrivesafely.com with its internal student account web administration site. But we want to run from an Xserve running Apache 2.0. Information on current website: Our current site has about 40 ASP pages, 1 access database including web administration. The web administration system displays chapters completed by each student, personal registration data, court selected, testing location selected (when required), due date, credit card info, court related info and an automatic PDF certificate creation with the click of a button for once students have completed and paid for the course. This PDF file takes the data from the Access database and adds it all to the PDF file for printing. Thats it. Enhancements in mind for new PHP/Mysql website: We will like to make good use of pull down menus just like www.idrivesafely.com does to provide important student/court/state specific feedback to students depending on their selection then recording the selections to a database where we can follow student course progress such as chapters completed, what information has been submitted etc with a web administration site. I suggest you go ahead and try using www.idrivesafely.com site to see what I mean by making it operate like it does. Our website achieves the same but its programmed very differently and many things are missing. We are looking for a dependable, trusthworthy, and honorable programmer that will mantain, improve, or program our site on a regular basis as we are continously growing to other states that require new features to be added. Most of the information we deal with is VERY confidential and we deal with state superior courts quite often. Everything must be done professionaly as it will be reviewed by several court IT personnel, and other traffic school monitoring agencies in california once its complete. This is my first time here, if I have ommited to mention anything crucial about what we what to do please by all means educate me. After viewing many reponses from many excellent programmers, I would like to explain further the requirements with more emphasis both on the "chapter list" where student choose a chapter to complete, and on the administration site. Both of these systems must provide us with complete control on what pages does the student reads, when he reads it, how many chapters he completed etc-the administration site must tell us everysingle aspect of the student's (all students for that matter) progress. We need to have security controls from preventing student to sheat on the course etc. The "chapter list" must be include chapters student can complete, plus security fuctions such as not allowing th student to take the final exam until payment has been made, or skipping chapter pages to get to the last page, then take the chapter's exam, etc. The administration site must be an advanced admin site that will include several requirements such as name, address, security controls mentioned above and anything you can possibly think of. our ASP admin site is limited and it only tells us how many chapters has the student completed, has payment been submitted, has the final exam been completed etc. I am including two pictures of how our admint site works. One page is for access where the administrator enters name and password. Then another where we can search for specific student's by name, driver's license, telephone, certificate number etc. Please view the 3 pages and do advice any improvements that can be implemented. The number on top of the MainAdminPage represent the chapters the student has completed. We would like to add many enhancements to the admin site such as the following: More secure access controls: 2 User-level access controls such as: 1- Admin - Can do everything 2- Customer Service - Can not view complete credit card number, will only be able to see last four.
